New Principal explains vision for 2021-2022

PRESLEY HELMCAMP

Will Falker is the interim principal for 2021-2022.

Personalized

As the new principal, Mr. Will Falker wants to provide “a personalized experience to all the students, first class customer service to the students and parents,” and he wants everyone to be treated with the kindness and the respect they deserve.
With the departure of Bill Daniels, Falker has stepped in and is looking to make positive changes on campus. His changes have a theme. It’s one word, no catchy phrases, ‘personalized.’
“The reason I chose ‘Personalized’ is because I don’t want the high school experience for any student to just be attending school then going home,” Falker said. “I want them involved in something. I want this year’s campus involvement to include teachers as well.”
This is Falker’s 20th year in education. He started his student teaching in Beaumont, Texas, where he met Daniels.
“A lot of administrators have inspired me to think of becoming an administrator,” Falker said. “They have provided me a lot of guidance along the way. The biggest influence was Daniels.”
With this information, Falker has been able to create his vision for the year of the 2021-2022 school year. His word of encouragement: Empathy.
“A lot of people are going through a lot right now, ” Falker said. “The world as I see it changes. We need to be empathetic to the needs of others and understand what they’re going through. We are all family and we are here to support each other every single day.”
