Band at UIL State Military Marching Competition

PRESLEY HELMCAMP

The band placed sixth at the state military marching band competition. This is the first time in school history the band has attended this competition.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, the band performed for the first time in school history at the state military marching competition in Longview, Texas. This competition was specific to 5-A and 6-A military bands. The band performed at 9:45 p.m., as the initial schedule was changed due to weather concerns. The band placed sixth; just one point shy of being in the top five.

The Kingwood High School Military Marching Band, the sister band to the Atascocita Military Marching Band, placed second in the competition, bringing home a trophy and making the Humble ISD band family proud.
