Every year, the choir program hosts an exciting pop show centered around a new theme, giving students the chance to shine both individually and as a group. This year’s “Showtime 2025” brought the energy and flair of “Grease” to life, and it was nothing short of amazing. Each performance radiated talent, passion and heart, making for an unforgettable evening.
The “Grease” medley was a true highlight of the performance, with every song bringing energy and nostalgia to the stage. Standout moments included a dynamic rendition of “You’re the One That I Want,” performed by junior Gracie Jimenez as Sandy and senior Mark Avila along with the chorus, and a heartfelt take on “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” both of which stood out as personal favorites.
The solo performances were just as memorable. Freshman Evan Edwards delivered a stunning performance of “I Believe in You,” earning well-deserved applause and proving himself as one to watch. Other favorites of mine included “Kaleidoscope,” performed by sophomore Ananya Anup, along with the beautifully performed “Waiting on a Wish,” performed by junior Amelie Gonzales. “I’m Almost There,” performed by Gabbi Sanders emerged as a clear crowd favorite, drawing enthusiastic cheers, while the night closed on a high note with a remarkable performance of “I’m Here,” performed by senior Daniella Delgado, leaving the audience cheering in appreciation for its emotional impact and vocal strength.
Some of the strongest moments of the show came from smaller group numbers. My favorite duet from this year was “It Ain’t Me Babe,” performed by senior Emma Savoy and junior Callie Everett, perfectly balanced and emotionally delivered.
For group numbers, “Blame It On The Boogie” was an absolute hit. It was fun, energetic and perfectly executed. The entire show was filled with 10/10 performances from different choirs and soloists, showcasing the depth of talent in this year’s lineup.
Bravo to all the performers, directors, and backstage crew who made this production a success. “Showtime 2025” was a huge success.
